Terms and Conditions
All authorised drivers and renters must be in possession of a valid unendorsed drivers license and passport, and be a minimum of 25 years of age.
All rates include insurance, oil, maintenance, unlimited mileage.The renter/driver will be liable for damage to windscreen, windows, lights, damage/loss of tyres.
Rates are calculated from pick-up time to drop-off time. Minimum rental charge is 24 hours.
All fuel usage will be payable by the renter. The car shall be delivered to the renter with a full tank of fuel. The client shall return the vehicle with a full tank.
Should the renter wish to extend the rental period, the renter must contact the CAR HIRE KENYA AND SAFARIS office not less than 48 hours before the termination of the initial rental period. Authorisation to extend the hire period will only be granted subject to availability.
Any costs incurred due to loss of or damage to a vehicle or equipment will result in a deduction from the excess deposit applicable to the vehicle or equipment stated on the Rental Agreement.
Vehicles are allowed to enter Uganda and Tanzania with prior arrangement. A letter of authorisation must be requested at the time of reservation.Additional cross border fees are incurred - enquire at the time of reservation you are supposed to buy PTA Insurance @(€100)
All rentals are made subject to the terms and conditions of the Rental Agreement.
We offer a free airport collection service and transfer as well as a free delivery within city limits. Drop off to any other location can be arranged subject to an additional charge.
A free mobile phone will be provided. Call minutes can be purchased in advance by purchasing scratch cards, available in all major towns.
Due to demand, we require on booking a 25 % deposit to be sent to us in advance to reserve your booking.This can be done direct to our account by TT telegraphic transfer,details to be provided.
On arrival you will need to settle the balance on your hire and leave a deposit, the amount of which will depend on whether you have purchased ACDLW or not. Please see below.
Should you cancel your booking with 31 days or less notice, the deposit is non refundable. However we will credit you with the full value of the deposit for a period of 1 calendar year on any alternate booking you make.
Any cancellation made with more than 31 days notice are 50% refundable. Again we will credit you with the balance of the deposit for a period of 1 calendar year on any alternate booking you make.

Insurance
The vehicles are covered by Comprehensive Private Service Vehicle Insurance, and for 3rd party insurance for Kenya , Uganda and Tanzania .
By purchasing the Additional Collision Damage and Theft Loss Waiver (ACDLW) you are only liable for the applicable excess (€80) for the vehicle in case of any collision, damage or loss of vehicle or parts of it, or equipment of the vehicle. If you has not purchased ACDLW,you will be liable up to the value of the excess deposit (€800).
This we usually do by credit card. We run the credit card for (€800) and hold the credit card slip with out banking the money but should you damage the vehicle we obvioulsy run the (€800), usually a quote is done and we discuss the whole issue with the clients.Alternatively the client pays an extra (€15) to us per day this is called the ACDLW ( accident, damage and loss waiver )
The renter is still liable for the full damage to the vehicle or equipment if caused by negligence, road conditions not suitable for the vehicle, areas disallowed by the vehicle company unless written permission obtained, by an unauthorised driver or where the renter is in breach of any of the provisions of the rental agreement.
